Last year we got the flu bad. The 3 of us got flu shots but they didn't seem to help. We're not giving up on the concept though. We still stand by the notion that getting a shot is better than not so I took both kids in to the doctor today.
I prepped Charlie before we went and tried to explain what we were doing so he wouldn't be scared. He asked to bring his blankie telling me before we left that it would "make me feel better". Such a better planner than I'll ever be.
So they got their shots and it was pretty uneventful. The blankie seemed to help. The nurse let him pick out a sticker when we were done and once again the magic of stickers made everything all right.
Annie cried as soon as the needle went in but once I popped her pacifier in she was fine. We've been home for a couple of hours and she's been fussing off and on but other than that she's good.
I'm going in for mine on Saturday so I'm thinking I'll just grab my blankie and paci and I'll be good to go too!
