Not riding the rides...

This morning we met Matt's cousin Jodi and her 2 kids downtown to go on the rides at Riverfront Park. She has season passes and invited us to come along because Charlie could ride for free under her pass.

Super. Sounds fun. We're in.

Only problem? Charlie's afraid of fun. He wouldn't go on a single ride. Not even the carousal which he's done before.

Usually to get him to do anything all I have to say is "Tristan does it" and he's all over it. Didn't work today. Even with Tristan present it didn't work.

Below is Tristan and Alanna enjoying the bumper boats. This is Charlie enjoying watching. He actually got in line for the bumper boats and told me to "get Charlie's swim shoes". In his mind he was going to swim in this little pool while the other kids bumper boated around him. Too bad that's against the rules.

At least all I was out was parking money. If I'd have bought him the $13.99 day pass and he refused to go on anything this would be a post about his first spanking instead of about our day watching other kids have fun.
