Last week at Annie's school they learned about Christopher Columbus and his ships. Annie came home and told us all about "the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Marinia". She may not be able to say the last one perfectly but how cool that her school is teaching her about history already?!
Last week Charlie lost his second tooth. He swallowed it while he was sleeping so we suggested he write the Tooth Fairy a note. He didn't though! He informed us the TF was probably just like Santa and just knows everything.
I got into this whole made up explanation about the different levels of secret, powerful people we never see, but we definitely believe in. He respectfully dissagreed and opted to skip the note, and OBVIOUSLY the TF didn't come that night.
The next night he had a change of heart and wrote the cutest little note. And even though he didn't use the word please the Tooth Fairy still hooked him up.
I voted for $1.50 since there was no actual tooth, Matt is a total softie though and gave him $2 for writing such a cute note.
And for the record we saved the note but we can't frame it because how would we explain the fact that we have possession of the note?
Oh and I called this post 'writing samples' because I want my brother to read this and take a good hard look at my 4 and 6 year olds handwriting. I know his is better than Annie's but Charlie's? I'm not so sure.
