Welcome Royal James Anda!

On Friday my brother's wife Vanessa had their baby. Pete called from the hospital on Thursday night saying some lab work came back and Vanessa had some issues with her liver which could potentially cause some problems with their baby. Since she was already at 39 weeks the doctor recommend that she be induced that night just to be on the safe side.

I pawned my kids off on Matt's parents and drove down to the Tri-Cities first thing Friday morning. We spent the day visiting in the hospital room trying to take Vanessa's mind off what she was about to go down.

At about 4:30 the nurse came in and said it's go time. So my mom, Vanessa's mom, and I gave her one final good luck and stepped into the hall. 3 hours of pushing later we heard a baby crying from our vantage point in the hallway. And then the adults in the hallway started crying...

Mama and baby are healthy and doing well. Congratulations Pete and Vanessa!
