This year we decided we were going to spend Christmas Eve at our house and let the kids wake up to find that Santa had managed to come down the chimney, through our gas fireplace doors that don't open, and left them presents under our tree.
We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner with my parents and sister's family. By nice I mean they were an hour and a half late because they got in a fender bender in the church parking lot so the salmon was a smidgen dry and the baked brie was a big, cold, gooey mess. Oh and I was a starving lunatic. The lesson here, according to the husband, is don't go to church. We let all the kids open 1 present on Christmas Eve. Coincidentally, or not at all, they all got Christmas pajamas! I'm thinking this is going to be our new tradition because then they're all decked out for morning photos.

My family alwasy does PJ's on Christmas eve too...my mom would "hunt around" for the 1 present we got to open...it took YEARS for us to figure out it was ALWAYS PJ's. Love that tradition. :)
