The Bat Cave was a big hit. We basically had to tear Charlie away from the Bat Cave to get him to open his stocking and other gifts.
And we basically had to tear Annie away from the candy cane filled with Reese's Pieces to open her other gifts. Poor girl has the Anda/Hawley genes bad.
One of Charlie's other favorite gifts from Santa were some pirate accessories I found after Halloween for like $3. He wore the hat all day and even took the hook with him to bed that night.
Random picture of Annie as we were getting ready to leave for Grandma's house. She's developed a fear of fur so I had to really pin her down to get her vest on. So worth it though to have the most stylish baby at Matt's family celebration. OK, she was the only baby but I'm going to go ahead and assume even if she weren't she would have been best dressed no matter what.
So that was our Christmas. Matt got me a weekend in Mexico as my gift so I can go see my dear friend Brenda marry her beau. He also actually went to the mall and got me 2 sweaters which was so thoughtful. Usually I buy my own sweaters, wrap them, write his name on them, and stick him with the bill. So this was a pleasant surprise. He also had his friend Jon send me a tour poster from the tour he's on with Brett Dennen, which was also ridiculously thoughtful. I guess he's not so bad after all....
