Walking: Now that's she's walking on her own she's into even more stuff than she was before. She has a new trick that's frightening and hilarious all at the same time. She climbs up on the coffee table and gets up on her knees and bounces while making cute little noises. She's actually mastered turning around and getting off feet first so it's really not all that frightening. That story had very little to do with walking but it all falls under the category of she's out of control, so I felt it need to be shared.
Style: In the picture below I was experimenting with new hair styles (very limited options right now due to the lack of hair). Her expression says exactly what she thinks of the bow. The Bottle: When Charlie was little our pediatrician told us he should be off the bottle at age 1. On his first birthday we made him go cold turkey and we put all the bottles in a box downstairs and made him figure the cup out. I feel like we should do the same with Little Miss but it just makes her so happy I hate to upset her.
I'm thinking once all the formula in the house is used up and she makes the switch to whole milk then we'll just start giving it to her in a cup and that will be that. It's a tough world out there and it starts now.
The Wiggles: We've been a Wiggles free house up until Friday. My mom convinced me I couldn't deny this baby the joy that is the Wiggles any longer and I'm actually glad I listened. We got her the DVD called You Make Me Feel Like Dancing and she goes nuts for it.
.
Below she's boppin' along to the music. I'm totally fascinated with this little lady when she claps when they clap, points her fingers like they do, and bounces her body around to the beat. Charlie is a bit less animated when we turn on the show but I actually think she's inspiring him to move more which is good. Oh and he sings along to the songs while she's dancing. We might actually have the next Donny and Marie on our hands here.
Signing: This last week Annie has started signing "more" with her hands. She tells me when she wants more food (which is always, thanks to my genes) and doesn't stop doing the sign until I've filled her tray with whatever it is she's after.
.
Blowing Kisses: She's also recently started blowing kisses. If you can get her to do it it's awesome. She only gives them out sparingly though so you have to be on her good side to have one sent your way.
.
Animal Noises: Annie does a little "wha wha" for a dog noise and, for my mom only, she'll do a "ba" for a sheep.
.
I think that's it for her latest accomplishments. It seems like its all coming together for her though and every day she has a new trick to show daddy when he gets home. I can't believe it's already been a year. Exhale.

look at her go! shake it Annie shake it! Happy birthday!!
I can't believe you've made it this long without the Wiggles. I guess you have Star Wars to make up for it though. If you want to borrow any Wiggles DVD's, CD's, toys, etc. let me know. We are a Wiggle-filled house!
