The below picture is terrible because of the flash but I wanted to demonstrate how Charlie embraced having an audience to show off his antics to. Other kids stood or sat. Charlie did some of both. His class sang Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman and did a finger play (I recently learned what this means so I'll share: the kids did some motions with their hands while reciting a little poem). Of the 8 kids in attendance only 2 actually sang and our Charlie...wait for it...was one of them!
He sings for us at home all the time but I figured he'd clam up when it was go time but he didn't. He rocked the show! I wish I could post a video to prove I'm not just being a crazy mom who thinks their kid is the best when really they're not but we filmed it on the real video camera and I don't know how to get that on my website (my videos usually come from my regular camera).
After the program the kids got to visit Santa again. We heard for about the billionth time that Charlie wants a dog. After he asked for a dog he said to Santa "did you know I have a Christmas tree at my house?" Then he started talking about how he builds bird houses with his tools, which is a total lie, so we took him off Santa's lap so that Santa would keep him on the good list and not move him to the bad for being a liar.
Miss Annie was frightened of Santa this time around. Not sure why. Last time it was no problem. So she lasted about a millisecond on Santa's lap.

The party lasted about an hour and 20 minutes. I'm making some notes from our friend Logan's website on some things to suggest for next year to make it a little longer. His party included decorating cookies and a puppet show. Of course if I make suggestions they'll probably tell me to form a committee and make it happen, which I don't want to do, so in reality I'll just end up keeping my ideas to myself.

I was thinking that I wish Logan's class sang songs like Charlie's class did... our school should be stealing ideas from yours... but I don't want to volunteer for the committee either.
