Snug as a bug in a giant bed.

A couple of weeks ago Charlie got another new bed. And of course by new I mean Goodwill new. We didn't need a new bed but my mom stumbled across this fantastic bed and pretty much made us buy it.

We're glad she did though because its really great.

As you can see below it has a twin on the bottom, which is actually built like a trundle so it pushes in under the dresser part. It's just a twin but it fits 2 cousins under 3 feet tall nicely.

And then it has a twin on top (which we have no mattress for so its off limits for now). Behind the dresser part is a secret compartment for storage. Charlie climbs back there while he's supposed to be napping and peeks at me through the hole that his stereo cord goes through.

The first time he did it I opened the door to check on him and didn't see him in his bed. Didn't see him in his tent. Started to panic. Then heard: "mom. where's gramma?" He had been waiting in the secret compartment for who knows how long hoping one of us would eventually peek in on him.

So it was monetarily a good buy. However I'm losing a lot of my hourly wage by getting up every 2 seconds to force him back into bed while I'm supposed to be working and he's supposed to be napping. So we may not have actually come out ahead on this one.
