Happy Turkey Cupcake Day!

Not turkey like gobble gobble. But turkey like candy corn feathers, Rollo heads, and red hot gobblers.

Yesterday my mom had a brilliant idea to make turkey cupcakes with the kids. For once I'm not being sarcastic. It actually was brilliant. The boys had a lot of fun.

Everyone was given a job.

Annie's was to sit in the high chair and look cute (actually kind of hard for her to do these days with her snaggletooth situation, mean thing for a mom to say but she really does look funny). Charlie's was to unwrap the Rollo's and place them on the cupcakes to serve as the turkey's heads.

Caden's was to eat the Rollo's as fast as Charlie could unwrap them. Okay. No one gave him this job. He assigned himself. My sister's really happy he got this job as the chocolate acted as a laxative and well, just use your imagination on how that one ended.

The finished cupcake product.

Just for fun: Caden's version.
I've already sampled the finished product (big surprise) and they're very good. The combination of candy corn, Rollo's, and frosting doesn't sound that appealing but its actually quite delightful.
.
So with that I say Happy Thanksgiving! Eat up!
