Kilauea Crater and Punalu'u Beach

Today we drove to Kilauea Volcano, the most active volcano in the world. We have a few more pics on various cameras, this is all I have on my phone though.

We viewed the crater from various spots and then we hiked through a lava tube (that would be all the pics of the kids with their headlamps on).

On the way home we went to Punalu'u Beach which is a black sand beach. We didn't swim because the water was cold from the freshwater springs percolating just off shore (this is straight from the guidebook folks). We did play in the sand and watch the 100's of sea turtles though.
