MS Walk 2012

Where was I?  Oh yeah, things we did in 2012.  Well, a couple of weekends ago we participated in the Spokane MS Walk to support a dear friend who has the MS.  Turns out lots of people in Eastern Washington have the MS.  Might not be such a great place to raise kids after all.  Apparently vitamin D helps ward it off, guess Disneyland and Hawaii are now mandatory annual traditions for this Ring family.  Time to work more hours so I can earn a little va'ca money for the sake of keeping my kids healthy.

Speaking of work, I've actually been working more than my required 25 hours/week this busy season.  Let me tell you, it's not treating me well.  I've had like zero time to update the blog, don't even get me started on the fact that it seems like everyone in the world is 'following me on Pinterest' and I haven't even had time to figure out what the heck it is, and my acne is back with a vengeance.  Possibly not related to working more but I'm not ready to rule it out just yet.

One thing I have managed to squeeze in though is running.  Let me let you look at my darling family walking as part of my company's team "Geeks in Sneaks" and then I'll say more.  Get excited.

Cute and obnoxious all at once ah?  So the running: the day of the MS Walk we did 3 miles as a family.  Then I dropped them off at home, changed into my serious workout clothes, and ran 9 miles with my girlfriends.  What?!  Did I say 9 miles?  I meant 9.09!  No joke fools!

Sunday we're shooting for 10 so I've already started hydrating in preparation.  I'm sure you can figure out by this weird post that I'm using a non-tradition form of hydration.  It involves 1 pink'tini and 1 Blue Moon.  It might also involve some power foods that include leftover Easter candy and Wheat Thins.  It's a tricky diet but I'm sure it will only help me in my quest to run for 2 hours straight in a couple of days.

21 more days until my 1/2 marathon, it might be time to really start getting serious.  Really.  I mean seriously.  Stay tuned for even few blog posts...
