Christmas morning

Christmas morning the kids slept in for the first time in their frikin' lives. They've both been sick with awful coughs and slept terribly all night, so we let them sleep as long as they wanted. Matt wouldn't let me leave our bedroom though because he wanted them to discover the presents and observe the half eaten cookies without mom sitting on the couch drinking coffee reading a book.

So I laid in bed and tried to read a book for like 2 hours before Charlie finally came in a 'woke us up'. I think it was like 7:45 but I swear I had been up since like 5 so it felt much later.

Annie got her own camera for Christmas, a cardboard house for her to color, a pillow pet, some crafts, a Hello Kitty pillow, and some other random gifts. She seems to be most in love with the pillow pet that Santa brought her. A pillow shaped like a dog. Genius.

Charlie got several GI Joe vehicles, a Star Wars thingamajig, some puzzles, and a Toy Story Wii game.

Santa came through with a Kinect for the family to share. He also brought the kids the new Disneyland game where you get to travel around the park and do different tasks on the various rides. Charlie figured it out today while Matt and I were getting the house back in order from the holidays, it seems pretty fun.
