On my way home today I heard the best thing I've heard in a long time on the radio. Lookout Pass Ski Area is having a Winter Carnival this weekend.
Their featured event? A wife carrying contest.
The prize? Your wife's weight in cash.
So as a wife (who does not plan to go not because I don't think my husband can lift me but because I have other plans that don't involve my husband truly knowing how lumpy I got over the holidays) isn't sure how one would strategize for such an event. Do you pack on the pounds before the carrying contest so your husband wins more money? Or would that only hinder your chances of winning in the first place.
Do you go on a strict diet before the event to make it easier for your husband to run faster even if it would mean you would win less money?
Idaho is really making me scratch my head on this one.

Well, I'm pretty sure David and I would be an perfect for this. I weight a decent amount, but David is a really big guy... but NOT fat. He's tall, solid and fit. The kind of guy who could pick up a fat chick... but still run with her. Please sign us up. We will stay at your house.
You crack me up Brooke. You are always welcome to stay at our house - even if you're just using us because of our close proximity to the most random stuff you (we) find cool.
I just realized that my comment is full of typos and spelling errors. I'm going to call it "charming".
