Looking forward to Owl and Cardinal Day.

While driving home the other day we saw 4 wild turkeys on the side of the road.

Matt: Look kids! There are turkeys out Charlie's window. Does anyone know what the special bird is that we eat on Thanksgiving?

Charlie: Is it owl?

Me: Close.

Charlie: Oh I know. Cardinal.

Me: Getting colder.

Matt: I'll give you a hint. We just saw them...which is why this whole conversation started.

Charlie: Turkey?

We're going to have to work with the kid on his reasoning skills. We drove by actual turkeys. We have turkey decorations in our house that we have declared, to Charlie, are our Thanksgiving decorations. How could the answer be anything but turkey?

I just find it amazing that the "cardinal" bird is on his radar.

Stop feeding them owl and cardinal for dinner and they won't be so confused!

Maybe he learned his logic skills from you. Why is it always dark on "Night court?"
