characters

Our trip was so great and I have so many pictures I'm not really sure how to organize the blog. I think we'll start with the characters we met.

Every time a character was out and about there was either a line to have your picture taken with them or just a huge mob around. Since it's not really our style to wait in line or be patient for anything ever we figured we wouldn't get a single picture.

Over the course of our 5 days though we found a few celebrities that either had short picture lines or were randomly standing around in funny places where no tourists were at the time.

The first character Annie and I met was Winnie the Pooh. Winnie's bodyguard looked at me while Annie was hugging Winnie and said "I think she's going to fall asleep in his arms". Apparently hugging Winnie is like hugging a life size teddy bear and when you're 2 that's all it takes to pass out. I pried her away though before she was totally out.
Next up was Eeyore. He was equally lovable. Charlie was on Splash Mountain when we ran into these guys so he kind of missed out. Or maybe Annie is the one who missed out? It's all about perspective and thankfully neither kid cared, they were both happy with whatever they were doing for every second we were in the park.

The next day we ran into Goofy outside his house. Annie had just tripped over her own feet so she was a little on the sad side and refused to talk to him or hug him. No biggie, Charlie was jacked to say hi.
We also ran into Minnie outside her house.
Later that day we went to a little story time in a princess castle for some much needed 'downtime'. Right as the kids were finding a place to sit a prince came up and started chatting it up with them. Then Cinderella came out and shared her life story with the crowd. When she got to the part about dancing with her prince she pulled Charlie out of the crowd (I'm guessing the prince that was talking to the kids was her scout) and danced with him. It was absolutely adorable.
On our last day there we were taking a shortcut to avoid the crowds and we bumped into Snow White standing basically all alone. She was so friendly to the kids. She asked Charlie his favorite color and he said green. Then she asked Annie and she said green too. I think she panicked. Snow White is her favorite.

The last character we met was Sleeping Beauty. She was also off on this random little path that no one but the Rings walk on. The kids ran right up and struck up a conversation. As we were leaving Annie said "bye Snow White". Again, I think she panicked, she was trying to play it cool around a celebrity and must have gotten nervous.

Love the pictures! The kids look so happy. That is so great that Charlie got called up to dance, almost like his dad (as a kid) when he was chosen to re-enact the bike ride in ET. What wonderful memories they'll have. Glad to have you all back!
