Annual Trip to the OI

Once a year we head out as a family to my parent's place on Orcas Island. I'd love for it to be more than once a year but my husband feels like Orcas has burned him too many times and he can't risk it more than once every 365 days.

I tried to take a picture of our car on the ferry to show that we were 1 car away from missing it and having to wait in line for 3 hours. Basically for proof that we didn't get burned in 2010.
We went out mid-week this year so it ended up basically just being the 4 of us (my dad was at his house, but in the cabin it was just us). So we spent the week doing exactly what we wanted, when we wanted. This is Charlie and Matt gathering wood for our fire so we could roast smores.

Reading books on the lawn.
Crabbing with Grandpa.

That bowl is all crab. We did our best to eat until we could eat no more - which of course made the trip a total success in my book.

Our other discovery on this trip was that Rosario lets you pay a day use fee to use their pools and spa. So we spent about 5 hours there one day using their pools, hot tub and sauna. Money well spent for sure.
