Easter Twenty Ten

A little Easter recap: I got up super early, hid plastic eggs outside, waited for the kids to wake up. I love sleep. Who knows why I got up so early. I might just have been more excited than my kids about discovering what the Easter Bunny brought.
Annual cousin shot.

After discovering their baskets and hunting for eggs we put the men folk who had come for brunch to work. The new playhouse needed to be installed stat. Thankfully we had 3 Grandpas, 2 Uncles, and 1 Dad up for the task.

We kept the kids inside so they wouldn't get in the way (actually there was a lot of swearing going on outside and we wanted them to think their Grandpas and Uncles were enjoying setting this up for them).

This is my one shot of the inside. Grandpa Ken lined it with cedar and built shelves for them so it has that real house feel on the inside. Grandma Cheryl decorated with framed pictures, a storage bench/couch, play food, and lots of cooking utensils.

We've had terrible weather ever since Easter but that hasn't stopped Charlie from playing in it every single day. He loves to pretend it's a store and sell you all kinds of crazy stuff. I wouldn't recommend doing your shopping there though. I paid $5 for 1 apple. I think I'm taking him to Safeway with me tomorrow just so I can blow his mind with what the competition is charging.
After brunch and playing outside for a bit we headed over to Aunt Janeen's for another celebration and meal. We came home totally wiped out, didn't stop Charlie from heading out to his house for a little more play time though.
.
Thanks Grandpa Ken and Grandma Cheryl for building the kids their own house! Next time can you put some beds in it? They've been getting up at night and it's getting old!

What a cute house! I would have loved that when I was their age! And I love the pic of the three of them watching the guys work outside. Too cute!
