Dog Cakes

You know it's bad when you finish the first cake and you stand back to admire your work and your almost four year old looks over, laughing, and says 'is that my dog cake?' Ummm YES! What do you think it is? A bunny? OK, the first one (pictured last) does look like a bunny. But is it really necessary to criticize my art?

Thankfully my mother-in-law Cheryl is bringing a homemade apple pie to our little family birthday celebration so the adults don't have to deal with the dog cakes. I'm sure they taste fine, they just look a little crazy and are covered in Fruit By The Foot and Raisnettes. Most adults I know prefer cakes with less Fruit By The Foot.

Also thankfully we're having a party for Charlie's friends on Tuesday so I have another shot at making him a cool cake before this birthday passes.

Also thankfully my husband finally got me flowers. My constant hinting was even annoying me. Thanks husband...
