1st of my shameless Mahatma plugs.

A while back I signed up to be a BzzAgent basically to get free stuff because I LOVE free stuff. As an agent all I have to do is talk about the free stuff they send me and report back that I've done so.

So.

Monday I got 2 free bags of Mahatma rice in the mail. They threw in some recipes so for dinner tonight I whipped up their Cranberry Brown Rice Dressing. It had toasted pecans (which I toasted myself thankyouverymuch), dried cranberries, and sauteed onions.

As far as rice side dishes go this was a good one. I had thirds. This doesn't actually mean the rice was good, which it was, it really just means I love to eat and have had a hard time getting back on the Weight Watchers train since returning from Mexico. But the dish was good. Loved the nuts in the rice, gave it a little flare.
.
Matt liked it but said it was heavy on the onions, cranberries and pecans. Basically he likes plain rice.
.
If anyone out there is looking to shake up their side dishes I recommend trying the Mahatma Brown Rice. I've got some coupons for free bags if anyones interested. End shameless plug 1.
