Big, sloppy, wet, kisses.

We went to a little Halloween party last night at Matt's cousin Jessica's house. I found Annie a scarecrow costume in the clearance bin at a party shop so I quickly concocted myself a tin-man costume with a thrift store prom dress and a funnel covered in tin foil and we were ready.

Matt and Charlie have been talking for weeks about being Spiderman and Doctor Octopus. Therefore, I have been nagging Matt for weeks to figure out his costume.
.
Friday morning on his way out the door before work he asks me to pick him up some dryer venting at the store, pack his trench coat, red sunglasses, duct tape, and a knife and just have it in the car when I pick him up and he'll concoct his crazy costume during the 10 minute drive. I did what was asked of me and to my surprise (or not) it proved to be too hard and he just wore his regular clothes at the party. Which, by the way, was total roll reversal for us. I'm generally the Grinch when it comes to every holiday always and he's always gung-ho with costumes, decorations, and merriment.
.
I'll keep you posted on whether or not it gets put together for trick-or-treating next weekend. Thanks Jess for having us over - the kids had a blast!

Off the party topic but not off the Halloween topic I wanted to show off my lazy man's pumpkin (below). Charlie was thrilled with the idea and it took about 1/10th of the time actually carving a pumpkin would take. I'm thinking it's a new tradition...
