Annie really shouldn't have had any complaints. We didn't force her into anything outside her comfort zone. She just felt the need to fuss every time she got water in her face, which was every 2 seconds since the toddler zone was full of rotating spraying guns, dumping buckets, and random fountains shooting out of the ground. Now that I see it in type maybe those were valid reasons for a 14 month old to complain?
Anywho. Charlie on the other hand had many reasons to complain. They had some little kid sized water slides and we started out taking him down on our laps. He hated it. So, logically, we turned it up a notch. One of us stood at the top and pushed him down while the other waited at the bottom to catch him. Surprisingly he hated that too.
(this is my best picture of the day, all the shots that included their faces showed how much "fun" they were having, and that's not how I want to remember the day)
Despite our kids being miserable Matt and I had a blast. They had 3 adult water slides (by adult I mean over 42" tall). Just walking up the 3 stories of stairs carrying a big inflatable tube made us feel instantly 12 years old again. It was so fun. One slide goes completely dark for about half the way down. Just as you start to feel like you're locked in a dark closet you shoot out at the bottom into a big wave pool. It was addicting.
.
By the way. What's up with all the water parks in North Idaho? This place was a block from Silverwood/Boulder Beach and about 5 minutes from Wild Waters. It makes very little sense how 3 of these places could stay in business in such a sparsely populated part of the world. Maybe people are vacationing in North Idaho and I don't know about it. It's actually possible that I don't know everything.
