Wellness Update

Each month I've been updating on my standings in the Wellness Challenge at work so I feel compelled to keep it up (even if no one other than myself cares).

The December results haven't been tallied yet but I wanted to talk a little bit about November.

Remember when I said I got 3rd place? But there was no prize for 3rd place?

I WAS WRONG! In a good way.

There actually was a prize and it was a $25 VISA gift card. Hooray! All my walking efforts paid off!

I know I didn't place for December since I only wore my pedometer for half the month so I may not post another update for a while.

However. Let me tell you what's new. They've changed up the challenge for 2009 so things have gotten a little more complicated. I'm now on a team and each team member on the team with the highest average steps each month will win a prize.

I have no idea if this is going to help me or hurt me. My team members seem motivated but they also seem busy. On the flip side all the other teams seem motivated and busy as well. I guess all I can do is blog and speculate. I kid. I'm working on getting back into the treadmill routine as we speak. The Christmas fudge has made a serious impact on my waistline and I'm thinking I should try to reverse the damage before its too late!
