10 Months Old - Holy Double Digits Babycakes!

So my little Miss Annie is 10 months old now and I'm changing my tone. Time is no longer flying by. Now it's moving slowly because it feels like she's always been in our lives and it's only been 10 months. Miss Thing has blended herself right into our little family so it totally feels like this is how its always been.

Yesterday while I was at a preschool meeting Matt was home with the kids and he told me he was yelling at Annie for trying to get his water glass that was way up on the end table. He wasn't mean yelling. But he was basically just raising his voice trying to command the 10-month old to re-think her actions without him having to get up and move the water.

So while this was going on Charlie goes "Dad, don't yell at my sister!". I can kind of think back to when he cared about no one other than himself but today it feels like he's been looking out for this little babykins for his whole life.

I hope it's always like this. I hope he has her back forever.

I digress. What about the milestones she's reached this month you ask?
.
Well. Where do I begin?
.
She crawls normal style now (army crawling is so 2008).
.
She pulls herself up on just about anything and "furniture crawls" her way into trouble.
.
She can walk with her little push cart. The link is from when Charlie learned to use it a few days before his 1st birthday.
.
She eats all kinds of baby food but prefers anything not made by her mother. I've tried pureeing carrots, squash and sweet potatoes and she wants nothing to do with them. Open up a jar of store bought squash though and you're her best friend.
.
She eats yogurt and little bits of cheese.
.
Yesterday I gave her little cut up bits of chicken and she seemed to be able to process it so that's on the list too now.
.
Her best milestone to report though has to be the fact that she says momma. Right now all she really says is dada and momma, which drives Charlie nuts. Pretty much everyday I hear him yelling at her "I'm not your dada! I'm Charlie!". It's awesome.
.
I think that's it for the update. I feel like by month 11 I'll be reporting that she's walking, which is scary. I'm not quite ready to be done with the baby stage yet!
