wellness suckness

Last month I reported that the company I work for is doing a wellness challenge. I also reported that I worked my a** off and took 7th out of 8 participants for the month of September.

To recap: the challenge is that we all wear pedometers and the 2 people with the most steps win prizes. They also have a consolation prize for last place. No prizes for the people in the middle. Simple enough.

So I stepped (pun intended) up my walking and improved upon the 297,800 steps I took in September and logged 325,842 for October. In case you don't have a calculator handy that's 10,511 a day. That's a lot.

We're talking treadmill every night a lot.

Since this post has suckness in the title and not awesomeness you've probably already devised that I didn't win.

I took 4th out of 7 people this time around. A big improvement but clearly not big enough to matter.

The first place prize was good too. It was a $75 gas card and a $75 Visa gift card. The Visa card was already spent in my mind too.

I think to celebrate my losing I'm going to take a night off from the treadmill and have a big bowl of ice cream. Oh wait. I already had one this afternoon. Maybe its time to dip into that cookie dough in the freezer. That should teach somebody somewhere something.
