So anyways. We spent the long weekend at home - i.e. we had a staycation. Matt and Charlie set up the little tent and roughed it in the yard. Roughing it in our world means having 10 books and 10 Star Wars toys to play with and being 2 seconds from the bathroom.
Charlie loved it though and in the morning said to Matt "Dad, that was fun, thanks." Such a sweet kid when he wants to be.
Sunday night we had our friends Matt and Elise over for drinks and Catan (a board game that we've become obsessed with). We geeked out until about 1:45 which brings me to my next topic: Annie. She's been consistently sleeping until about 5:30 or 6 but I think on Sunday night she sensed that I had too much to drink and was going to bed super late so she decided to wake up at 3:30 starving. It was super.
Matt started school yesterday and so far loves it and feels like he made the right decision. He decided to cut his hours at work down to 30 a week so he doesn't go completely insane. Probably a good move..
Annie still hates the cereal but I'm going to give it another week before I move on to vegetables. I'm thinking she probably just hates the concept more than the actual food so I'm just going to keep torturing her until she caves and starts swallowing what I'm spooning into her mouth. It makes sense in my head so that's the game plan for now.
