Hair today, gone tomorrow.

A few months ago I gave up the fight with Charlie regarding hair cuts. I bought clippers and started strapping him down in his high chair and doing it myself. He flailed around and cried too much for the ladies at Kids Kuts and I didn't want to put them through that anymore.

So he still hates the hair cuts but at least no one else has to hear the fits that go along with them besides me and whomever I can corral to help me.

Today I decided to take a new approach.

I let him sit in his little toddler chair in front of Cars, with a snack, and proceeded to clip his hair by myself.

It was going terribly, as usual, so I switched to scissors.

That's when I cut his head.

Nice, I know. I was trimming around his ear and he was batting at me and for whatever reason I continued and then cut his head. It's not really that bad, sure there was blood, and sure he asked to go to bed, but the actual cut isn't that bad. Actually the worst part was that he kept chanting "mommy hurt you, mommy hurt you, I didn't want my hair cut, I didn't want my hair cut". So he's in bed totally pissed and I feel like the worst mom in the world.

Next time we're headed back to Kids Kuts. At least if they cut him I don't have to deal with the guilt.

If Caden had hair to cut, I would let you cut it and show Charlie how much fun it is. As you know, he is pretty bald and doesn't have any to spare. Please don't get any ideas while I am away. :)
