I took the kids to their first movie in a theater today and I'd say it was a relative success. The Garland was doing a free showing of Horton Hears a Who so I figured if things fell apart and we had to leave we wouldn't be out anything other than gas.
.
Charlie was so happy to be there (as were the other 575 kids packing the theater, guess we're not the only ones who read the paper). His little legs weren't heavy enough to keep the seat down though so he kept getting stuck (that's what I was trying to capture with the above picture).
.
We just had one mishap which consisted of Charlie falling off his chair and onto the cement floor. I was nursing the baby so while I was fumbling around with my boobs another mom jumped up and helped him to his feet. So of course he wanted to be held after that and I wanted the crying to stop so I had both kids on my lap (as well as the gut busting popcorn) until he calmed down.
.
Other than that it was a success. Charlie loved the movie and was glued to it the whole time. Oh and no one noticed the crying. The place was filled with kids and about 50% of them were talking at any given time so we were so under the radar it wasn't even funny. And I think I just said so about 70 times, so with that I'm out.

We also had this experience at the same theater earlier this summer. In the first two minutes of sitting down, Thomas' seat flipped him in spilling his drink, Joshua's did the same, and I spilled all the popcorn trying to catch both of them from being sucked into that little hole. Good times!
