Tricycl'in Through Suburbia

We had a glimmer of sunshine this evening so we took the kids out for a stroll. Charlie did awesome peddling his new bike, however Matt was pushing him so fast he couldn't keep his feet on the peddles. Poor kid was trying though. After a couple blocks they (read: Matt) decided it was more efficient for Charlie to just rest his feet on the little bar and just let dad push. Still fun though because he discovered he could stand on the bar while dad pushed and for some reason not get yelled at (that's a whole other post for another day though...we're trying to encourage Charlie to take a few risks and get hurt once in a while...he's ridiculously cautious and it's getting embarassing at the playground).

This is me taking a turn. The little parent handle was made for short mommies, not tall daddies. Oh and let's assume the sun was in my eyes and I'm not normally this ugly.
This is totally unrelated but I wanted to put this picture up for fun'zies. The other day I had my back to Charlie because I thought he was just quietly watching Cars. Instead he was emptying the movie drawer and stacking the movies straight up. At his well baby check-ups they're always asking how many blocks he can stack. Next time we go in I'm reporting that he's not into blocks but instead he can stack about 16 VHS tapes as well as 2-3 DVDs. Probably not as difficult as stacking blocks but definitely more original...especially when he does it in his underwear.

Your "sun in my eyes" comment almost made me spit out my water.
