'Til Death Do Us Part Part II

About a month ago I rambled on about my nerdy husband and how I've chosen to love him in spite of his crazy ideas. He had just purchased 7 boxes of old Star Wars toys from Craigslist "for our son" and was spreading them out all over our basement for Charlie to play with.

He spent $275 on toys that according to him were worth a lot more. I didn't think he'd actually ever sell any to prove this to me so I took it upon myself to nag him about it for about 4 weeks straight.

My plan worked.

Matt listed about 30% of the stuff he bought on eBay to recoup some of our money. His auctions are closed now and after they take out commissions our take will be just about $275! So essentially we spent no money and now have an extensive collection of vintage Star Wars spaceships, robots, villages, guns, yaddi, yadda, yadda.

He's actually just as jazzed about selling this stuff as I am and says he'll consider selling a little more of it so we'll actually profit. Profit from this hair-brained scheme, yea!

This is one fight I'm happy to be on the losing side of. Go on Babe, find another unsuspecting housewife tired of storing her husband's toys and resell them for a big ol' profit. Mama needs a new pair of shoes! And a massage. Oh how I'd love a massage. Oh and a wet nurse. Do they still exist? If so, that's what I want to spend our money on.

Below is a video of Charlie showing off some of his Star Wars knowledge. It's a little hard to understand but if you're familiar with all the terminology it will probably make perfect sense. And hopefully be perfectly entertaining.

Just to prove Annie's still around I thought I'd include some pictures. She likes to sit on the counter while we eat dinner. Apparently our conversation about spaceships and robots didn't hold her attention as she passed out in about 2 seconds. Mentally I did too.
