The Booths were in town for the weekend and stayed with us so we could catch up. When they got here on Thursday Charlie got really clingy and wouldn't leave my lap. Logan's actually 2 weeks younger than Charlie so I can't figure out why he was so intimidated by his little friend.
To try and get Charlie to warm up to Logan someone suggested Logan give him a hug. Charlie, however, can't just hug. He needs to kiss too. So Charlie planted a big wet one right on innocent little Logan's face.
Normally this wouldn't be such a big deal, funny yes, but a big deal no. The next day though I noticed a couple of red dots around Charlie's mouth. My sister's baby came down with "hand, foot, and mouth" disease on Tuesday and Charlie was exposed to him for a couple of hours (and he confessed on our way home that he kissed Caden too). So throughout the rest of the weekend Charlie got progressively worse. He developed these zit-like sores around his mouth and I just noticed today he had little red dots all over his hands and feet.
This is a miserable disease and I believe the sores are even in his mouth (which is why he doesn't want to eat and probably why he woke up at 11 last night and insisted on watching a movie in my lap for an hour). So Tim and Kerri if Logan gets this I'm so so sorry. I'm going to work on teaching Charlie to hug without kissing asap!
Below are the boys bathing together (before C got sick).

Right now I have a fever -- it was 103.7 this afternoon. I'll let you know if I get spots. Tell Charlie I know he didn't mean to get me sick. I just hope he is feeling better... I was sick the last time he visited my house... one of these times we both need to be well when we visit.
Oh no! That's how it started with Charlie on Friday afternoon! The spots really started showing up after I notice how hot he was. The next 2 nights are going to really suck...I'm so sorry!
